Medical hypnotherapy
Medical hypnotherapist certified in the United States. Clinical hypnosis has nothing to do with stage shows. It is a state of focused attention in which the mind becomes far more receptive to suggestion and the body changes its automatic responses. It is used in hospitals, in dentistry and in pain management, with scientific literature behind it.
In a session you do not lose control and you do nothing you do not want to do. What changes is the mind's level of criticism: there, an instruction reaches the place where, wide awake, you would have rejected it with "I know, but I cannot".
That is why hypnosis is useful for automatic things: a phobia, smoking, emotional eating, sleep-onset insomnia, chronic pain. Automatisms are easier to rewrite in the right state.

What "medical" means in medical hypnotherapy
You stay in control
You are conscious, you hear everything, you remember everything and you can stop at any moment. The fear of hypnosis usually disappears in the first few minutes, while I explain the mechanism.
In your own language
The suggestions are built on the goal we agreed together and on the way you yourself speak about the problem, not on formulas taken from a book.
An instrument, not a miracle
It is used when it is the most suitable instrument in the plan, and never in place of necessary medical treatment.
Four steps, in this order
Preparation
I explain exactly what follows, what you will feel and what cannot happen. The fear of hypnosis disappears once you know the mechanism.
Induction and deepening
Moving into a state of focused relaxation, at your own pace. Nothing forced.
The work itself
Therapeutic suggestions built on the agreed goal, in your own language, not in generic formulas.
Anchoring
You learn to reactivate the state on your own, so the work continues between sessions.
Myths about hypnosis, set against reality
| The belief | What actually happens |
|---|---|
| "You lose control." | You stay conscious, you can speak, and you can come out of the state whenever you want. |
| "You fall asleep." | You are more attentive than usual, just less critical towards suggestion. |
| "You remember nothing." | You do remember, much as you would a relaxed conversation. |
| "It only works on some people." | Depth varies from person to person, but the work can be done at any depth. |
| "It solves anything, in one session." | It is one instrument in a staged plan. A single session can change a great deal, but rarely everything. |
Clinical hypnosis is used in hospitals, in dentistry and in pain management, with scientific literature behind it.

The reasons people come to this field with
Hypnosis does not put anything into your head. It only lowers the noise, so you can hear what was already there.
In the press and on air
The subjects I explain publicly, in national publications and in podcasts.
Not sure this is the right field for you?
A first conversation clears up exactly that. You tell me what is happening, I tell you honestly which field the work belongs to and whether someone else is needed.
